Starting a new narrative

Hi

Welcome to the new blog for 2019.

I just thought I'll finally start recording my journey though photography, so that's why this blog exists. Through the last nine years there's been a lot of ups and down trying to follow my passion, trying to find a direction to point my photography. I've experimented from doing wedding photography, fashion photography to landscape photography. I seemed to always struggle to find my focus, not knowing where I really want aim for. Even through I've done so much stuff already, there always a point where I feel lost and not knowing where to head next.

That's saying I haven't lost my passion for photography. It's helped me with my confidence, communications and even help build some brilliant friendships over the years. I'ts right at this moment, I seems to not know how to progress. Even recently hitting over 45 weddings, I'm still not sure if Its something I wanna concentrate on. Its already been a long journey, and yet I still not sure on my destination.

As I was out for New Years Eve 2018, I sat by myself while waiting for my friends getting their drinks in at the bar. My thoughts over the last passing year hit me like a bowling ball. It actually hit I haven't actually done that much over the last year. I wouldn't say it was wasted but I would say that I was slowing down and not doing enough as much of what I loved doing. Even starting a new side venture exploring 360 photography seemed to ended on a sour note.

The only things that really stood out over the last year was capturing some fantastic weddings through the summer and autumn. I really do get a great sense of joy capturing the special moments of the wedding couples day.

So when I returned to my own mindset, returning to sitting in that bar with my friends almost seeing in the start of 2019. I decided to make it a new resolution to do a lot more for the coming year. Push the photography and 360 venture a lot harder. Even if I don't get paid work in, I'll just experiment and try something different that has never been captured or done before. I'm gonna write more blogs like this to keep track of my progress like a diary. Even record more videos of my progress for my youtube.com/khophotography channel as well. I've noticed I'm gaining more of a following on instagram.com/keljaden so I'm gonna concetrate and share more of work on my instagram aswell.

I think this time I want to really focus on myself. I want to make it MY YEAR. Improving myself, trying new things and experiences. Maybe even do a little bit of travelling to capture more moments. This is my plan anyways. Time to make a leap.
